Here is a quick experimentation with Painter's digital watercolor brushes and Hard Pastel on Rice paper. I have not used Painter's watercolors in awhile and I had forgotten how wonderful the brushes are for showing fluid movement. (the seeds blowing out of the dandelion are the "Spatter Water" brush.) When I worked traditonally, I could never control my spatters and would always end up with a muddy mess.
If people like this experimentation then maybe I will do a tutorial next on painter's watercolor and pastels tools. Let me know if you are interested...

Of course we want a tuturiol. We love your tut's. Painter is on my list of Stimulus purchases as sooner as I get it.
And no you are not corny, I still wonder about seeds and wind and distances.
Do you know mold spores can travel 500 miles a week?
Carlyn- great to see you again! Glad to see you back on your blog, too. A couple of hours ago, one of my kids was recreating this scene of yours in my garden. Blowing dandelion fluff directly into my garden! I KNOW where those dandelions are gonna grow- heehee! This piece has a really nice feel to it.
Love your illustration! And yes please do post Painter tutorials! I would love to do more with this program.
I love the color combination! It's so soft and comfortable!
Lovely illustration.
I don't work in painter but I find all of your tutorials fascinating so that would be great if you had time.
Thanks for your generosity!
Beautiful experiment!
I love the feel of this piece! Makes me want to get a dandelion and try it myself!
Wow - what an amazing blog! This is beautiful and your Pet Peeves illustration is absolutely stunning. I am quite scared of photoshop, but you are tempting me to play with some of your tutorials! Thanks for your comments on my blog too! It made me smile.
interested!
I have worked in Photoshop for years as well as watercolors and oils but I am new to Painter X. I would enjoy any tutorials as I don't find it as intutive as photoshop and I get things out of whack and have to restart and get the brushes back to default. I am going to follow along an try your watercolor lesson. It is great. Thanks
Loved readingg this thank you
